The ESAD-Asturias offers an Acting Degree undergraduate course. You will take part in the academic life of one of the most prestigious drama schools in the north of Spain. It is our goal to meet students’ needs and prepare them for professional life through our complete and fulfilling program.
INCOMING STUDENTS
Application deadlines:
- Erasmus applications for the full academic year and/or for the Autumn term (September to mid-January) will close every year around the last Friday of May.
- Applications for the Spring term (mid-January to June) can be submitted by November 15th every year.
- The application documents must be sent by email to the Department of International Relations: esadastur.erasmus@gmail.com
Documentation: In order to apply, you will need to submit the following documents
- Cover letter introducing yourself and explaining your motivations to apply
- Student Application Form (link)
- Transcript of Records from your institution
- CV & Personal Photo
- Proof of knowledge of Spanish: Certificate A2 (minimum) or letter of your Erasmus coordinator verifying that you have enough knowledge for the lectures. In addition to the Spanish certificate, an English certificate (B2 minimum) is highly recommended and could strengthen your application.
- Additional information (you may submit these extra materials to support your application): portfolio, personal website or videos of your work.
Selection process: During the selection process we might arrange a video-call interview with our international department to confirm that your expectations are in line with our curriculum and work philosophy. Once the selection has been made, the ESAD-Asturias will send notification about your acceptance and we will give you further information about our acting program.
Signing a Learning Agreement: Before the beginning of the classes, the Learning Agreement must be signed by three parties (ESAD-Asturias, your Erasmus coordinator and yourself). This agreement can eventually be modified once you arrive at the ESAD and must be completed within one month. This is a compulsory requirement.
Working language: Classes at ESAD-Asturias are mostly taught in Spanish. Occasionally, some of our teachers might offer classes partially in English as a working language. However, you should keep in mind that during your stay at ESAD-Asturias you will be introduced to an educational Spanish environment in an immersive way.
How to get to Gijón?
- You can fly to Asturias Airport (Oviedo) which has direct access to Gijón city. There is a regular bus service between the airport and the city.
